The Haven

  • Medication Technician

    Hourly Range: 17.00-18.00

    The Medication Technician will be responsible for medication administration and will be a front-line employee offering personal care services to the residents of our Assisted Living facility. They will be responsible to the Administrator of The Haven at Bethany, a Residential Care Facility for the Elderly (RCFE). This will include working with the other Medical Technicians and Caregivers to ensure that resident needs pertaining to the activities of daily living are met.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

    • Set up and administer medication. Must ensure there are no unattended medications anywhere in the facility.
    • Document medication taken and not taken in an accurate and timely manner.
    • Notify the Assisted Living Nurse of any medication ordering issues.
    • Maintain Medication Technician certification.
    • Follow facility’s policies and procedures for Medication Administration.
    • Report on shift when expected / stay until shift ends
    • Always use safety measures for resident and self when using body mechanics.
    • Assist with safe transfer to and from bed, chair, sofa, commode, walker
    • Follow basic hygiene and infection control practices; a list of which will be reviewed and distributed to all staff
    • Contribute to a positive, healthy, and safe living and work environment
    • Protect the confidentiality and security of all resident information
    • Document daily care notes

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) will give basic bedside nursing care through learned nursing tasks to reach or maintain the resident's highest practical physical, mental and psychosocial well-being by performing the following duties:

    Follows a daily routine for the residents in accordance with nursing care plan in areas of physical needs.

    · Understands the plan of care for each resident in your assignment.

    · Report's any change in the resident's condition or ADLs immediately to the charge nurse.

    · Provides visual privacy to all residents during personal care and treatments.

    · Maintains proper placement of resident's call bell and answers it promptly.

    BETHANY is dedicated to providing quality care and support to our community. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Fund Development to join our team and lead our fundraising efforts.

    Summary of Position:

    The Director of Fund Development will be responsible for developing and implementing fundraising strategies to support BETHANY and the Foundation. This position will oversee various fundraising activities, including annual giving programs, special appeals, major gifts, grant writing, and planned giving.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Fundraising and Development:

    • Develop and implement, in collaboration with the Executive Director, a strategic plan to raise a sustainable funding base for Bethany Home Society.
    • Oversee fundraising initiatives, including grant writing, researching foundations and corporations, and implementing other strategies.
    • Build and maintain a large donor base to ensure effective fundraising.
    • Manage timelines for fundraising activities to ensure timely execution of strategic plans.
    • Maintain relationships with the Barnabas Foundation and other professional agencies.
    • Ensure the donor database is current and accurate.
    • Acknowledge all gifts and donations promptly.
    • Maintain the financial records for the Foundation.
    • Provide reports for the Executive Director and the Foundation Board of Directors.
    • Attend and participate in quarterly Foundation Board meetings.
    • Develop marketing materials for both BETHANY and the Foundation.
    • Maintain financial coordination of the Senior Meal Program operated from the Ripon Senior Center.

    Qualifications:

    • Proven experience in fundraising and development, with a successful track record of raising funds.
    • Strong grant writing and research skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
    • Proficiency in maintaining donor databases and financial records.
    • Experience in public relations and marketing is a plus.

  • Shuttle Bus Driver

    Position: Shuttle Bus Driver

    Department: The Terraces

    Position Type: Part Time Non-Exempt

    Salary Range: $17.00-$19.00 per hour

    Summary of Position:

    Drive community vehicles to different locations as scheduled by the Administrator or Activity Director. This includes assisting residents in and out of the vehicle, driving the vehicle, operating and securing wheelchairs and other assistive devices safely and making sure residents return safely.

    Essential Duties:

    • Schedule outside appointments within specified driving radius and allotted time frame.
    • Maintain paperwork related to the community vehicles including mileage logs, charge slips and maintenance slips.
    • Practice good and safe driving habits when transporting residents.
    • Report all incidents with vehicles or residents to the Administrator or Activities Director.
    • Maintenance of the vehicles including vacuuming, washing and engine care. Notify Administrator of any need for repairs or other concerns.
    • Participate in voluntary and mandatory on-going education and in-service training.
    • Under emergency situations assist with resident transfers or evacuation procedures under the coordination of the person in charge.
    • Reports any suspicion or evidence of elder abuse, mistreatment or neglect as outlined in Personnel Policies.

    Qualifications

    • Must be criminally cleared by DOJ and FBI via the Live-Scan process prior to initial presence in the facility.
    • Must have a valid Commercial Driver's License with a P endorsement for 19+passengers.

    Education and/or Experience

    • Highschool diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
